Brian GreerDirector - Writer - Producer - Editor A graduate of the University of Tennessee Business Department, decided to follow up on his dream of making a movie following college. He started his own business when he was 18 years old and always strived to be independent and self-sufficient. Since the age of 12, he has shot many short films for school projects but nothing in the way of serious art. He worked as an editor and filmographer for years before meeting with Wash Rogers in 2002. Atrophy is Brian's first serious film production. Brian is a Leo and was born in 1980. He is not nearly as disturbed as the film may imply him to be. However, he is a control freak: every aspect of the post-production editing and DVD creation was handled personally by Mr. Greer, as he locked the doors and would not let anyone else in the editing room. Brian likes to get e-mail. Unfortunately, he cannot list his e-mail here anymore due to the massive amounts of spam and viruses he has been receiving. If you really wish to make contact, use mental telepathy - he'll be waiting. Brian's Internet Movie Database Profile
George "Wash" RogersDirector - Writer - Producer - Music Composer Wash is a senior at the University of Tennessee, having a double major in Media Arts and Legal Studies. He has always been intrigued with expressing emotions and experiences through various mediums in the artistic realm. Wash likes to push the boundaries of what is considered art and the conceptual and aesthetic planes that lie therein. He was intrigued by film at an early age, renting two to three films a night to watch over and over again. His interest was amplified with the introduction of his first synthesizer; combining visceral imagery with discordant music seemed to be the ideal environment to produce short artistic films. He has shot numerous and infamous independent films, usually dealing with macabre tales of transcending the reality of ones’ set plane and ascending or descending into the unknown. He enjoys photography, creating abstract musical compositions, and long walks on the beach. Wash has trouble giving commands without using some sort of profanity; it is an inherent problem he has to deal with before it is too late. Wash's bizarre photography and disturbing taste in art formed the inspiration for Atrophy. Wash's Internet Movie Database Profile
Ralph "Neko" GarrettProsthetics & Makeup - Music Composition - Devil's Advocate Born in December of 1970, Neko is the "old man" on the project. He is a student of the University of Tennessee Fine Arts program, concentrations in scultpure and media arts. He began his collegiate career late in life and originally thought he would like to be an ecologist. He would still like to be, but can't convince the university he doesn't need Organic Chemistry, so he is following his second passion: art. He has been self-employed as a creator of art jewelry for the last four years, so is taking his duties as "Starving Artist" seriously. This is his first film project, having been lured onboard by Wash with a promise of fame, riches and free doughnuts (still waiting on all three). Other works he considers somewhat tolerable for public consumption may be viewed at www.studio-neko.com. Any subject is fine, but if it looks like spam it will be immediately forwarded to a crazy old guy with an eyepatch and several starving dobermans for processing. |
